Who are Recolight?

Recolight were established by the lighting industry in 2005 in accordance with the WEEE Regulations. As a not for profit company, Recolight takes on its members' responsibilities to collect and recycle their lamps at end-of-life.

Recolight funded the collection and recycling of over 100 million Gas Discharge Lamps, helping to prevent nearly a third of a tonne of mercury from entering landfill.

Recolight is unique in the WEEE lamp industry, in undertaking recycling in excess of it's legal obligations. This reflects the organisation's, and it's members' genuine commitment to maximizing the recycling of lamps.
