Who are Recolight?

Recolight were established by the lighting industry in 2005 in accordance with the WEEE Regulations.  As a not for profit company, Recolight takes on its members’ responsibilities to collect and recycle their lamps at end-of-life.
Recolight has funded the collection and recycling of over 100 million Gas Discharge Lamps, helping to prevent nearly a third of a tonne of mercury from entering landfill.
Recolight is unique in the WEEE industry, in undertaking non-household recycling well in excess of its legal obligations. This reflects the organisation’s, and its members’ genuine commitment to maximizing the recycling of lamps.
