Recycling Charges

Recolight will invoice its Producer members a Recycling charge, on a per-unit-sold basis, based on Producer member Black Box declarations. This will be at a single charge rate and will cover all Lamps in scope of the Regulations irrespective of use, type or construction. Recolight sees this as a very equitable formula to allocate the costs it incurs to each of its members for providing the following services on behalf of those members:

  • Collection and transportation of WEEE from a Commercial Collection point or a Designated Collection Facility to an AATF - see also the RecoNet web page
  • Recycling and recovery of WEEE to the full requirements of the Regulations
  • Scheme organisation and management
  • Communications to the respective markets
  • Government Registration requirements of Recolight and its Producer members
  • Data collection into and operation of the Black Box
  • Reporting to the Government of EEE put on the market and WEEE treated at AATF's

Recycling charges will normally be set for the duration of a Compliance period but we will keep it under review.
