The LIA and Recolight are pleased to announce the Net Zero Lighting 2024 conference, which will take place on 2nd May in London. The conference will focus on the practical steps that lighting manufacturers can take to reduce the carbon emissions of all parts of their operations, to contribute to the low carbon economy. The two organisations have come together to organise the conference in recognition of the vital importance of the topic to our industry, drawing upon both organisations’ expertise.

Recolight are encouraged to see the lighting industry taking steps to become more sustainable. It is a given that we produce light sources that are very energy efficient. Moving beyond that and adopting Circular Economy principles in how we manufacture those products will soon be a ‘must do’, and not just an ‘ought to do’.

Joining the Sustainability Revolution | A practical workshop showing how to implement a remanufacturing process

An in depth one day workshop designed and presented by lighting product designer Simon Fisher, who also sits on the BS8887:221 committee.

The workshop will guide attendees through all aspects of setting up a remanufacturing service, including key design principles for the LED light source, compliance testing, and the use of BS8887:221.
