Reporting system for Recolight Compliance Scheme Members

The Recolight WEEE Hub is the new reporting system for your declarations. It has been designed by the Recolight Member Team to give you a seamless, accurate and efficient reporting experience. It replaces the Black Box reporting system.

What to expect from your new system:

      A clean, modern design that is easy to navigate. Data is displayed and presented clearly making it easier to understand. But if it is your first time logging on to the WEEE Hub, and feel a little lost, please get in touch with your Member Team who will send out the user guide.

Your WEEE Hub Declarations

The Environment Agency use the term placed on market to ensure that all products are covered whether they are sold or given away. Placed on Market units are declared on the Recolight WEEE Hub.

WEEE Hub Reporting timelines

WEEE Hub Declarations | Between 1st and 15th of the month

You are required to make an accurate declaration of your ‘placed on market’ units per product type and their aggregated weight.

You can report your data monthly or quarterly. 

Quarterly Confirmation of Declarations | Between 17th and 27th of the month following each quarter end

This is confirmation that the declaration data your company has submitted to the WEEE Hub throughout the previous quarter is proper and correct, summarised on a single document.

This will appear under your Outstanding Tasks, for Q1, Q2 & Q3, check the data is correct and click Save. 

This is an EA requirement.

Quarter 4 Confirmation of Declarations | Between 17th January and the 27th January

This is confirmation of the declaration data your company has submitted to the WEEE Hub throughout the previous year, summarised on a single document.

This process is completed between the 17th January and the 27th January each year and takes just a few minutes.

The steps are:

  • The Quarter 4 Confirmation is available to view and download from the WEEE Hub under Outstanding Tasks.
  • It must be signed by a Companies House listed Director.
  • The document must be either DocuSigned or signed, scanned and uploaded onto the WEEE Hub in a PDF format.

Annual Statement of Compliance | Between mid-September and 31st October

  • The Statement of Compliance must be completed between mid-September and 31st October.
  • Check Company details, address and contact details and Submit.
  • Members can request data to be changed if required.
