The SunStay Pro gen2 and SunStay Pro gen2 mini represent the newest generation of its all-in-one solar streetlighting range, combining modularity, connectivity, and circularity in a single design aimed at long life and low maintenance.
The SunStay Pro gen2 mini demonstrates Signify’s circular design principles in practice.
Its aluminium die-cast housing is made from 80 per cent recycled material, and its component are engineered for easy disassembly, repair and reuse. The integrated design brings together the solar panel, battery, charge controller, and LED luminaire within one enclosure, streamlining installation while reducing the need for additional cabling and mounting hardware.
This approach minimises material use, simplifies logistics, and supports future component recovery and recycling.
Both versions feature intelligent control technology through a built-in motion-sensing multi-sensor.
This enables light-on-demand operation—automatically adjusting brightness according to nearby movement.
Using forward-triggering technology, the system can illuminate pathways ahead of pedestrians or cyclists, enhancing visibility and comfort while reducing unnecessary energy use during periods of low activity.
Technically, the SunStay Pro gen2 family delivers luminous flux levels from 600 to 6,000 lumens, with system power options between 3W and 45W and luminaire efficiency up to 175 lm/W, depending on the chosen configuration. Two versions are offered: an Off-Grid model capable of up to three nights of autonomy depending on location, and a Hybrid model that can supplement solar charging with limited grid power during extended cloudy or low-light conditions.
An optional vertical solar panel can be added to improve winter energy harvesting or performance in shaded installations.
