Deltalight achieves EcoVadis silver

Deltalight EcoVadis

Deltalight has announced that it has been awarded Silver EcoVadis, recognising its long-term commitment to sustainability.

This places the architectural lighting manufacturer in the top 15 per cent of over 130,000 companies assessed worldwide, and, it says, reinforces its ambition to drive positive impact for both people and planet.

EcoVadis is a globally recognised platform that evaluates companies on environmental, social, and ethical performance. Its assessment is based on leading standards including the Global Reporting Initiative and the UN Global Compact.

Deltalight has participated in the annual evaluation since 2019, using it to track progress in four key areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Deltalight’s silver rating reflects a wide range of initiatives. Since 2021, the company has reduced its Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions by 40 per cent, achieved 100 per cent renewable electricity, and now produces 50 per cent of its energy via on-site solar panels.

In product development, 20 per cent of the portfolio is certified with Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), offering full transparency on environmental impact. Packaging has also been overhauled, cutting plastic use by 92 per cent since 2022.

Beyond operations, Deltalight is active in social responsibility. As Eye Care Ambassador for Light for the World, the company helped provide eye care to 70 children and 51 adults in 2024.

In its supply chain, 80 per cent of purchases are now made from partners who have signed Deltalight’s Code of Conduct, ensuring shared sustainability values.

Looking ahead, Deltalight is investing in more energy-efficient products, designs that enhance repairability and recyclability, and expanding its Scope 3 emissions strategy.

Further plans include scaling up life cycle assessments, improving customer comfort, and strengthening employee wellbeing.

As a family-owned business, Deltalight says that it sees sustainability not as a trend, but as a responsibility—and a core part of how it shapes light for tomorrow.
