Almost 500 unused luminaires from leading brand iGuzzini are available for free from a sustainability initiative.
The lights are the fruit of a pilot project from the fit-out industry’s representative body, Finishes and Interiors Sector, designed to reduce the environmental impact of the sector.
On offer are new and boxed luminaires:
• 450 units of iGuzzini P905.01 Deep Frame Adjustable LEDs
• 39 units of iGuzzini BX68.74 Laser Blade LEDs
Hattie Emerson from the FIS says the light needs to go as soon as possible but she can assist with storage options if sites are not yet ready to take receipt of them. These are located in Stratford, East London.
The initiative also offer many linear lights from offices. In recent weeks over 1,500 luminaires – many barely used – are being offered at a fraction of their original cost to industry professionals.
The products on offer mostly come from Cat A office fit-outs which have been stripped out when the tenants moved in. Some of the lights come from the refurbishment of Cat A spaces that in some cases were never occupied.
They include suspended luminaires, feature pendants, spotlights, linear fittings and pendants. All are LED.
Emerson says there’s been a ‘lot of interest’ in the used luminaires so far this summer. ‘The cost case is really compelling compared to sourcing new products in the usual way.’ Some of the luminaires are discounted by up to 90 per cent.
The lights includes Trilux recessed luminaires at £10 each, Whitecroft Cityline at £14 each, Fagerhult Multilume Flatdata at £40 each, Fagerfult Leid G4 recessed spotlights at £42, Kreon Holon 60 at £33 each, Whitecroft CityEdge at £100 each and Whitecroft Oculus at £55 each.
