Whitecroft range designed to ‘reconfigure without rip-out’

Whitecroft is marketing its track-based Lyne luminaire system as a sustainable alternative to speculative commercial interiors.
The company says the plug-and-play lighting installation can be reconfigured on the arrival of the first tenant rather than being ripped out.
Additionally, it can be scaled and adapted as the tenant changes to reduce disruption, control costs and lower embodied carbon over time.
The separate drivers and modular components enable fast maintenance
and performance upgrades without complexity.
Lyne features D4i drivers and DALI-2 diagnostics to allow facility managers to monitor real-time energy and enable predictive maintenance insights. It’s integrated with the company’s Organic Response control system.
The range includes the Lyne Fusion linear luminaire which delivers up to 177 luminaire lumens per Watt and a UGR glare rating of <19 which arranged at 3m spacings.
Whitecroft says the system has been developed in response to changing workplace demands, where office layouts are frequently adapted to support hybrid working, collaborative areas and changing occupancy levels.
By allowing luminaires to be repositioned, added or upgraded without replacing the entire installation, the company believes building owners can futureproof lighting infrastructure while extending the lifecycle of components.
The manufacturer also highlights the role of intelligent controls in helping occupiers meet tightening energy performance targets. Integrated sensing and automated adjustment can reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining user comfort and lighting quality throughout the working day.
Lyne is designed for a wide range of commercial applications including offices, education spaces and mixed-use developments, where flexibility, ease of maintenance and long-term sustainability are increasingly important specification criteria.
