Ledvance wins EcoVadis Gold for its sustainability

Ledvance gold Ecovadis

Ledvance has been awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis for its sustainability performance.
This achievement places the company among the top 5 per cent of companies assessed by the organisation worldwide and highlights its continuous commitment and progress in sustainability.
Companies are assessed in the categories of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Ledvance increased its overall score by ten points compared to the previous year, reaching 78 out of 100.
In 2024, Ledvance earned the Silver Medal with a score of 68 points, despite EcoVadis’s increasingly stringent criteria that have made it much harder for companies to retain their previous medal status.
In 2025, the company not only maintained its Silver rating but also improved its score, achieving Gold status.
The company achieved an outstanding result in the ethics category, scoring 85 out of 100 points. The company also achieved excellent ratings in the categories of environment (79 points), labour and human rights (76 points), and sustainable procurement (73 points). This rating reflects the ongoing development of the brand’s sustainability management system – a significant achievement, especially in light of EcoVadis’s more stringent criteria.
‘The EcoVadis Gold Medal confirms our dedication to considering sustainability holistically and along the entire value chain. We are particularly proud that we were able to improve our results so significantly despite increased requirements,’ said Laura Fernández Gutiérrez, product sustainability manager at Ledvance. ‘This award is both an incentive and an obligation to continue on our chosen path.’
Ledvance has participated in the EcoVadis rating since 2018.
The company has subsidiaries in more than 50 countries and business activities in more than 140 countries. It was spun off from lamp giant Osram in 2016.
it was subsequently sold by Osram to a Chinese consortium including MLS in 2017, with MLS taking full ownership in 2018.
