Megaman has ‘brought back the replaceable lamp’ in the form of LED modules that are exchangeable by end users.

The company’s XChange range separates the LED light source from the luminaire body so that product lifespans are significantly extended.

Instead of replacing an entire fitting at end of life or when requirements change, users simply replace the XChange light source module. This preserves the value of the luminaire, reduces waste and supports a more circular approach to lighting design, says the company.

Fault identification is eliminated: the complete LED module can be replaced in around 10 seconds, without tools, rewiring or specialist skills.

This dramatically reduces downtime, labour costs and disruption —particularly valuable in professional environments such as property management, infrastructure and commercial facilities.

Users can also select colour temperature and lumen output, and choose modules with different efficacy levels (lm/W), optical distributions and colour rendering (CRI).

This allows lighting performance to be precisely tailored to each application, supporting comfort, safety, compliance and energy optimisation.

An EasyFix 2D LED light source module further extends this flexibility, providing a modern, energy-efficient upgrade path for traditional 2D luminaires.

The modules are designed to work across multiple luminaire families and generations, protecting investment and simplifying upgrades. This future-ready approach aligns with the growing emphasis on repairability and modularity in tenders, funding programmes and regulatory frameworks.

The range includes three purpose-designed luminaires for indoor, outdoor and industrial environments.

The Fonda XChange outdoor bulkhead is engineered for demanding locations such as car parks, warehouses and stairwells. With IP66 waterproofing, IK10 vandal resistance and a corrosion-free, UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure, it delivers exceptional durability while allowing independent replacement of the light source and control gear.

The Renzo XChange indoor bulkhead brings the same eco-design philosophy indoors. Its plug-and-play modular system minimises electronic waste while offering tri-lumen and tri-CCT options for full customisation.

Integrated microwave motion sensors and emergency modules enhance safety and energy efficiency, supported by a long operational life of up to 50,000 hours.

For industrial applications, the Hagon XChange  waterproof LED batten combines robustness with performance.

Featuring IP66 protection, IK08 impact resistance and a slim, easy-install design, it offers selectable lumen output and colour temperature, attachable sensors and efficacy of up to 145 lm/W.
