iGuzzini has been awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal for the fourth consecutive year, placing the Italian brand in the top 5 per cent of more than 130,000 companies evaluated worldwide by the global ESG rating platform. This achievement is accompanied by a further improvement in its overall score, reaching 84/100.
Companies are assessed in the categories of environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
The Gold rating recognises iGuzzini’s performance across a wide range of environmental, social and ethical criteria, including environmental management, labour and human rights, ethics, and responsible supply chain practices.
EcoVadis assessments are aligned with internationally recognised sustainability standards, providing customers with independent assurance of responsible business performance.
iGuzzini says its journey began seven years ago, starting with two Silver Medals, followed by the consolidation of the Gold Medal from 2023 onwards and its continued confirmation in subsequent years.
In a statement, it said: ‘The EcoVadis result represents an important milestone within our 360-degree sustainability strategy, based on concrete, measurable objectives validated by international standards.
‘Among these are the targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, which guide us toward a scientific approach to reducing emissions and combating climate change: a 70 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and a 30 per cent reduction in Scope 3 emissions by 2030.’
To support this integrated vision, it says it develops products and solutions certified according to internationally recognised standards, including PEP Ecopassport, BVB Byggvarubedömningen, TM65/66 and Dark Sky, strengthening a model of responsible innovation throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The recognition further reinforces iGuzzini’s position as a sustainability leader within the lighting sector, while highlighting the growing importance of transparent ESG reporting, measurable climate commitments and independently verified supply chain practices in shaping long-term customer confidence and corporate resilience.
